Double Side & Multiple PCB Board Cloning:

1 Scanning the TOP & BOTTOM side of PCB board before cloning and save the two pictures as BMP format;

2 Open the PCB board cloning QUICKPCB 2005, click “FILE” to open the screen and choose a scanning picture, use PAGEUP to zoom out the screen if you see a PAD then press PP to place a PAD, see a track should press PT to layout the track. Layout the PCB board and click save it to a B2P file.

3 Click “FILE” again and then open the scanning picture of another layer in cloning.

4 Click “FILE” again and open the B2P file saved previously and PCB board just be reversed engineering can be seen lay-up on this picture with same orientation with holes in the same location just the track pattern is different. So we can select “OPTION”—“LAYOUT INSTALLATION”, here the track and silkscreen layer should be closed which display on the TOP layer with only vias in the multilayer show.

5 The vias on the TOP layer and vias on the bottom layer should be in the same location and then draw the track in the bottom layer, click save for PCB board cloning. Now the B2P file has the data of both TOP & BOTTOM side.

6 Click “FILE” can export PCB Board file, then you can acquire a two layer PCB board file, now this file can be modified, cloning for schematic or send directly to PCB board manufacturer for production.

If there is a multilayer pcb board cloning, frankly speaking multilayer pcb board cloning just simply repeat the process of double side pcb board cloning, since we can’t see the internal layer layout of multilayer pcb board, so how can we see the internal layer pattern? There are different ways to do so, include chemical solution erosion, use knife or other tools to delaminate, these ways are all easy to overdo the process and damage required layer pattern. So the most appropriate way is abrasive the pcb board by using sandpaper can have the best result.
